Shirlayne was at the hospital for several hours this morning and afternoon. While there she met with Prof. Erdogru where he reviewed her history and several of the the American doctors reports, scans, tests, and procedures that she had brought with her. After asking a few of his own diagnostic questions and reading through some of the written reports he was also convinced that the previous diagnosis of Pudendal Nerve Entrapment was absolutely correct. He also felt that there was no reason for his staff to administer any additional tests, scans, or procedures because she had already had all the necessary tests done back in the states. With the diagnosis confirmed, the decompression surgery was immediately scheduled for Tuesday, Oct 9th, 9:00 am (Turkey time). It was also determined that for Shirlayne the doctor will be using the laproscopic technique rather than the DaVinci robot. According to Prof. Erdogru this gives him more freedom and flexibility during the surgery. On Monday evening Shirlayne will be relocating from the Memorial Guest House to the actual hospital to prepare for surgery, which means moving from the European side to the Asian side of Istanbul. So far everything is going according to schedule.
...We'll keep you posted
